This months members forum discussion is on the topic of professional standards and values in homelessness services in collaboration with Louise Smylie from the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Online
12:00-13:30
In this months lunchtime discussion forum we will be talking about the topic of professional standards and values. You will hear a short presentation from Louise Smylie – Training Manger at the Chartered Institute for Housing – who will be discussing the CIH professional standards self-assessment tool which aims to help individuals build on their strengths and think about professional development.
We will then have an open and informal group discussion looking at what values are important to have when working in a role supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, thinking about how we can ensure a values and strengths based approach to working.
The aim of these lunchtime forums is to build up a community of practice across the housing and homelessness sector in Northern Ireland. Through the community of practice we hope to strengthen relationships between individuals and organisations working in the sector and give opportunities to share good practice and learn from each other, so be sure to come along and share you insights and knowledge.
Tickets cost Free to members. Note, online forum discussions are an exclusive feature for Homeless Connect members ONLY. Please check your organisations membership status before signing up for the forum.
