Frontline Network – Neurodiversity Awareness and Support

January 15, 2026 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

On Thursday 15 January, the NI Frontline Network will be holding an online workshop focused on neurodiversity awareness and support.

Many staff working in homelessness services, as in many other walks of life, will be supporting individuals who are neurodiverse. This can pose challenges for both staff and people they are working to support in terms of misunderstandings and inappropriate support being provided.

This half day course- led by Risk and Resilience– will provide insights into the autistic spectrum and other neurodiverse areas such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, and more.

Participants will learn about effective communication, support strategies and creating inclusive environments.

The course includes consideration of practical tools and approaches to help you as you work with people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

As is the case with all Frontline Network events and workshops, the meetup is entirely free to attend for staff working directly with people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. All we require is for you to sign up to the Northern Ireland Frontline Network newsletter. You can sign up here.

*There are limited spaces for this training, so places will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. So that as many organisations as possible can benefit from this course, organisations will be limited to a maximum of four places each. However, we will run a waiting list to make sure that as many people as possible can benefit.
