“See the Person” Lunch & Learn
Homelessness Awareness Week (HAW) is a week to raise awareness about the reality of homelessness and to challenge societal stigma surrounding the issue. Events should aim to educate the public and create links between service users and the community and celebrate the efforts of those working to support individuals experiencing homelessness
Our young professional volunteer group, CIH Futures, know first hand how important it is to dispel the myths that society believes about homelessness, and how we need more young people to choose housing as a career to continue the vital work needed in NI.
Today, we will talk to students and share information and lived experiences that will empower them to challenge their own misconceptions and take away some learning to share with their peers.
