Our Head of Policy and Programmes, Mark Baillie, was on BBC Radio Ulster’s Evening Extra programme on Friday 26 July talking about the funding challenges facing the homelessness sector here in NI.
Simply put, we don’t have the resources that we need to see homelessness levels come down in Northern Ireland. And we really urgently need our executive, the British government to step up to the mark so that we can have the resources that we need to finally see, you know, homelessness prevented and reduced and the months and years to come. Too many people are experiencing all of the negative consequences that come from the uncertainty of housing instability, and the health and welfare consequences that come from experiencing homelessness for people.
