Meet Amanda
We are pleased to introduce Amanda Elliott, who started as our Practice and Participation Manager at the start of June.
Amanda, who hails from Ballymena, has a wealth of experience in the community development field. She held a number of leadership roles before joining Homeless Connect. These included positions in Jobs and Benefits at the Department for Communities, Community Development, Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, Addictions, and Training and Development. She has extensive experience in advocacy and representation, networking and collaboration, capacity building, support and mentoring. She has a proven track record of helping populations with a range of different support needs.
Practice and Participation
In her new role as Practice and Participation Manager, she will support the development and implementation of high-quality services to prevent and reduce homelessness in NI. She will be working with our member organisations to support the invaluable work they are doing on the ground. Additionally, she will ensure that people who have experienced homelessness firsthand are actively involved in the creation of services and solutions.
You can contact Amanda at amanda.elliott@homelessconnect.org. She would love to hear from you about your training needs if you work in the homelessness sector in NI.
