The Salvation Army are seeking to recruit an experienced manager to lead their existing frontline teams and further develop their two (Glen Ava and Grosvenor House) well established and high-quality family services located in Belfast.
The Salvation Army operates over 80 supported accommodation services across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. We call these services ‘Lifehouses’ because they are more than a place to stay. They are places where people can access support with their housing issues – but also find support to develop person centred support with other aspects of their lives such as employment & training, money management, loneliness & isolation, addiction, mental health and spirituality.
Glen Alva and Grosvenor House are accommodation services for 38 families in two locations. Our aim is to support families by providing a settled period of accommodation during which time staff can help them to develop their resilience, self-esteem, and life skills to enable them to live independently in the community.
The Service Manager will oversee the operation of these services in terms of performance management and develop and enhance the strategic and operational relationship with key stakeholders.
In addition, the role of Service Manager is central to achieving positive outcomes for our vulnerable clients with responsibility for local strategic vision and direction along with the day to day leadership of a team of dedicated professionals. You will champion excellence in terms of high-quality, cost-effective client centred service delivery.
