Women’s Services Coordinator
Closing Date: 22/01/2023
Contract Type: Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity to break the cycle of homelessness which some females experience. The Womens’ Services Coordinator will support the service manager and team to ensure the provision of high standards within, Annesgate our 10 bed nightly ‘crash’ and Catherine House our new innovative 10-unit therapeutic housing scheme.
The women staying at both schemes will have a variety of complex and multiple needs resulting in significant histories of trauma, repetitive periods of homelessness and will have struggled to engage with other support services. Both services aim to support women out of homelessness. Using a harm reduction model Annesgate aims to meet the immediate support needs of homeless women while Catherine House using a therapeutic model will support women to gain the skills and confidence needed to take the next steps to living independently.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate, committed, and enthusiastic about making a real and positive difference to the lives of women affected by homelessness. You will be a leader, have experience of working with marginalised people with a range of support needs and have a strong understanding of female homelessness issues. You must be able to provide trauma-informed, strength-based support and work to the Welcome ethos of low threshold and high tolerance services. In return we will provide the opportunity to develop your skills, professional supervision, and support, and the opportunity to be part of an evolving team where your views count, and you can make a lasting difference to the lives of homeless women.
Further information about this role can be found on the Welcome Organisation’s website.
Depending on the number of applicants, we may start to shortlist and contact applicants before the closing date.
Interview dates will be between 23rd and 29th January.
