Winter Woolies Campaign

Antrim and Newtownabbey Council has in recent years started to run a Winter Woolies campaign. Through this campaign the Council receives donations of handmade knit/crocheted items donated by residents of the borough, with the goal of redistributing these items to statutory and community partners that have identified a need for warm items amongst the public they serve.

This year, the Council has donated some of the winter woolies to our Starter Packs project. The items- which include hats, scarves, gloves and muffs- will be distributed to recipients of Starter Packs who live in the Antrim and Newtownabbey area.

We are grateful to Antrim and Newtownabbey Council for the donation and to the residents of Antrim and Newtownabbey who took the time to knit the items.
