Give food to help with the #CostOfLivingCrisis

If you are a food business in Northern Ireland, we would urge you to consider donating your surplus or near-expired stock to FareShare NI. Such donations would be especially welcome at this time with the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

Drivers delivering food

Donated food is distributed to our Community Food Members

As the crisis evolves we need to ensure that households struggling to cover their energy and housing costs are provided with adequate and nourishing food.

In the year 2020/21 FareShare NI distributed 800 tonnes of food, and created 1.9 million meals for people experiencing food poverty – including those who were homeless. (For more information click here).

We have a team of drivers who are able to pick up stock from your premises anywhere in Northern Ireland.

We can also keep you up-to-date with all the information regarding the impact your donations are making, including:

  • the number of households who have benefitted from the food;
  • an estimate of the contribution to net zero carbon savings because this food didn’t go to landfill;
  • the estimated economic contribution that your donation has made to the Community Food Members who have received it.

To find out more, and register as a FareShare NI supplier contact Caoimhe Glover at caoimhe.glover@fareshareni.org.uk or call 07818265628.
